As any respectable SNES owner, I spent an obscene amount of time playing the original Donkey Kong Country, when I was a child. The unique visual style and platforms are still fresh in my mind of all these years later, reason why I like quite a bit to hear Donkey Kong Country returns Retro Studios for the Wii is a more worthy successor to one of the most venerated franchises ever. Scott Alan Marriott explains in his review:
"Is not quite perfect, but Donkey Kong Country callbacks is a great first effort by Retro Studios in restoring a series amada.cada world offers new experiences, surprises and challenges as you excited to see what lies in store for the next level makes or head to find".
