Video game Rating System announced Islamic

ESRAToday at the World Dubai Game Expo in United Arab Emirates, a new system of classification of videogames and Board was unveiled. The Entertainment Software Rating Association will evaluate content games released in the middle game.

According to Dr Behrouz Minaei, director general in PC Iran Foundation National Games, "the classification system is designed according to culture, society and special values of Islam."

The voluntary system is intended to indicate when games "violate any Islamic traditions in Islamic countries," according to Mr. Anas Al Madani, Vice-President of holding, one of the companies behind the Board index.

The system shall take into account the violence, games that promote tobacco or drugs, sexual diversity, or nudity, all with the goal of "keeping children and psychological behavior player's balance".

"Islamic approach based on human innateness 'A Fitra', and the most important innate tendencies are truth, virtue, benevolence, the tendency of excellence, innovation and the creatividad.Por that we make sure that ESRA team is capable in these areas;"Religion, psychopathology, educational psychology, social psychology, sociology of the family, family sociology, emotional psychology, technology education, and family therapy, "said Dr. Minaei."

There was no indication of how, exactly, scores will be, if there is a scale as the ESRB.Por now scores do not have force of law in any country.

I see the need for a system of classification as este.Evidentemente, values of Islamic countries are very different from the values of the West as the ESRB rating would be largely meaningless in a culture much less permissive. still, it would be hard enough being a player in the Middle East; I hope the ESRA ratings do not lead to any kind of censorship.

In general, reminds me of a more organized version of gaming sites Christian out there trying to provide reviews of video games from a perspective of Jesus-y.Aunque I am a follower of the great Elder gods (Cthulhu! Ftgan!), support for Christians and Muslims that convey as much information as possible when it comes to the content of video games... always like nobody tries to use the classification systems to influence content for people like me who prefer violence, sex and negativity about positive Christian or Islamic ideas.
